Flügel Solingen Oval Sharpening Steel with Ring 25 cm Red

The Flügel Solingen oval sharpening steel with a ring is a professional kitchen tool designed to sharpen your knives in the most optimum way. Produced from hard chrome vanadium steel, this sharpening steel offers high wear resistance and superior sharpening performance thanks to approximately 2 million specially shaped diamond grains applied to its surface. It has been specially designed so that both right- and left-handed users can grip it comfortably.

• The sharpening part is 25 cm (10 inches) long in total.
• Shows high resistance to wear thanks to its hard chrome layer.
• The handle part is produced from plastic material and has a large hand and finger guard for safe use.
• There is a practical hanging loop at the tip of the sharpening steel for easy hanging.
• The diamond grains on its surface ensure that knife edges are sharpened precisely and effectively.

For the correct use of the sharpening steel, the cutting edge of the knife should be held at an angle between 15° and 20° with the sharpening steel surface and pulled from the base to the tip without applying pressure. During sharpening, care should be taken not to overheat the knife to ensure the structure of the steel is not damaged and its hardness and corrosion resistance are maintained. Cleaning the fine burrs formed at the end of the process increases the cutting clarity and resistance to dulling of the knife.
