Bargoin 3019-30 Nova Sharpening Steel 30 cm Red

The Bargoin Nova sharpening steel is a sharpening tool designed to maintain the sharpness of knives in professional and home kitchens. Produced from special high-carbon steel alloyed with chrome, manganese, and silicon, this product is coated with an 8 to 10-micron thick hard chrome layer to provide resistance against corrosion. Thanks to this coating, surface hardness increases by 3 to 4 HRC.

• The blade length, excluding the handle, is 30 cm (12 inches).
• The handle design, produced from plastic material, is suitable for both right and left-handed users.
• A special hand guard is located on the handle to ensure safe use.
• Thanks to its magnetization feature, it retains the steel particles that emerge during sharpening.
• It offers precise sharpening without leaving any scratch marks on the knife surface.

During the use of the sharpening steel, the cutting edge of the knife should be held at an angle of 15 to 20 degrees and pulled from the base to the tip without applying pressure. For a correct sharpening process, care should be taken not to overheat the knife edge, and the fine burrs formed at the end of the process should be cleaned. For long-term use of the product, it is recommended not to keep it in contact with substances that may cause high corrosion, such as salt water, for a long time.
